Mariendorf horse racing track, located in the South of Berlin, is a place frequented by people of all generations and classes. It’s on for young and old, rich and poor, which creates a special atmosphere. That mixture reflects the Berlin society, but the acceptance among the different groups seems to be considerably higher than in daily life. One could say that it’s a place of harmony, the passion for horses and betting seem to bridge the gaps.
